June Carla Daniels Whaley, 69, of LaGrange passed away at her home. Mrs. Whaley was born August 2, 1954 in Carteret County to William Henry Daniels and Nernie Yvonne Smith Daniels Thompson. She was the wife of 51 years to Gary Wayne Whaley. Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a sister; Linda D. Legowski.
Mrs. Whaley was considered as the “Original Pinterest Queen”, for her love of creating and crafting all sorts of creative things. She loved making Christmas gifts for everyone every year. Mrs. Whaley enjoyed traveling nationwide and internationally.
She is survived by a son; Phillip Wayne Whaley, daughter; Kristi Andrews (Kevin) brother; William E. Thompson, sisters; Molly D Merritt grandchildren; Kalyah N. Andrews, Krystopher K. Andrews, Kiyana Whaley Anderson, Kieryn Z. Andrews, Phillip Scott Whaley, great grandchildren; Kaden Andrews, Kyleigh Andrews, Kehlani Zoey Andrews, Amara Leigh Anderson and Azlyn Anderson.
