Karen Denise Dodge

Selma – Karen D. Dodge, age 63, went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by her family and friends on August 8, 2026. Karen is preceded in death by her parents, Wesley B. Smith and Grace E. Smith; brother, James Smith; granddaughter, Anabella C. Curry.

She is survived by her loving husband Charles Dodge Sr.; daughters, Chelsey Dodge and son in law Christopher, Ashley Dodge; step son, Charles Dodge Jr, daughter in law, Julie Dodge, Daniell Hall, son in law, Stuart Hall; grandchildren, Addison Curry, Rylan Dodge, Analise Dodge, Logan Dodge, Lilianna McKitchen, Sean Hall and Scarlett Hall; siblings, Caliese Hall, Wesley Smith and Keith Smith.

The family will receive visitors at Parrish Funeral Home on Wednesday August 12, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:50 PM. A graveside service will be held in Price cemetery following the visitation at 3:00 PM.

Karen was a loving wife and mother who served as a substitute teacher in Johnston County for many years.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent the Ronald McDonald House in Durham, NC 506 Alexander Avenue, Durham, NC 27705.
