Kathryn Dudley Weeks, 91 of Spivey’s Corner passed away peacefully at her home on October 16th, 2023 surrounded by her family.
Kathryn was born in Johnston County on September 22, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Gartha and Allean Dudley and was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Lloyd Weeks.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Anne Elizabeth Isley of Norfolk, VA and her brother, Phillip Dudley of Benson.
Kathryn was a 1950 graduate of Meadow High School and was also a retired Teacher Assistant with Sampson County Schools. She was a faithful longtime member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church where she served as the Adult Ladies Sunday School teacher for more than 30 years.
She was a loving Mother and “Granny Kat” as she was affectionately called by all her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
Kathryn is survived by her 2 daughters, Kathy Wilson and husband G.H. of Spivey’s Corner, Janet Wrench and husband David of Dunn, her 3 grandchildren, Nick Wilson and wife Stephanie of Autryville, Heather Tart and husband Greg of Dunn and Zach Wrench and wife Paige of Clinton. She is also survived by her 5 great-grandchildren, Wilson Mayo, Colton Tart, Jay Wilson, Josie Wilson and Jacob Wilson. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 19th at West and Dunn Funeral Home of Newton Grove from 6pm until 8pm and other times at the home of Kathy and G. H. Wilson of 76 Hollerin Rd, Dunn.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 20th at 2:00PM at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 11341 US 421, Clinton with Reverend Matthew Creech officiating. Burial will follow in the Weeks Cemetery, Wrye Branch Rd, Clinton, NC
