Coats, NC: Mr. Keith Clevenger, age 82, of Carson Gregory Road passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC surrounded by his loving family. Graveside Funeral Service will be held-4:00 PM Friday, August 16, 2024 at Coats City Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Chuck Jones.
Mr. Clevenger was born on January 15, 1942 in Harnett County. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Beasley Clevenger; wife, Patsy Clevenger; son, Marty Hockaday; and brothers, Joe Clevenger and Pete Clevenger. Prior to retirement, he was a gas truck driver. Mr. Clevenger was also a lifelong member of the Coats Community. He loved being a part of his community and he would help anyone in need at any time. He also loved his family, especially his grandchildren who he loved to drive around on his golf cart any chance he could. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Surviving are his children, Kenneth Clevenger and wife, Cheryl of Angier, Danny Hockaday and wife, Joann of Hampstead and Justina Wiser and husband, Thomas of Dunn; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sister, Ann Henderson; and niece, Renee Henderson.
The Family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM prior to the graveside service at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Coats.
