Garner, NC: Mrs. Laura Ann Penny Hamilton, age 91, passed away at Laurels of Forrest Glenn Nursing Home on Saturday, December 16, 2023. Funeral Services will be 2:00PM Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Burial will follow in Fellowship Community Cemetery in Angier. Revs. Rhonda Hamilton and R. B. Parrish will officiate.
Laura was born on March 26, 1932 in Wake County, NC to the late Newton Burke and Lillian Mae Montague Penny. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Joseph Hamilton and several brothers and sisters. Laura was a homemaker. She loved gardening and had a special love for children and was loved by all who met her.
Laura is survived by her children, Bobby Joe Hamilton and wife, Mary, Joseph Alan Hamilton and wife, Rhonda, and Andy Scott Hamilton; 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and 1 great- great- grandson; brother, Roscoe Penny; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:00PM to 1:45PM on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson prior to the service.
