Laverne Talton Woodard, 80, of Princeton passed away at her home on Monday, July 29, 2024. She was born in Johnston County on February 20,1944 to the late Ivey Talton and Mabel Dixon Talton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Charles Vernon Woodard and their son, Charles Vernon Woodard II., and sister, Barbara Thomas.
She is survived by her daughter, Angela Woodard and husband, Sam Chalk; brother, Glen Talton and wife, Judy; sisters, Evelyn Mancuso, and Peggy Kornegay; grandchildren, Heather Woodard Rabil and husband, Zach, and Savannah McAninch; great grandchildren, Chuck, Ryder and Keeley Rabil.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Casey Funeral Home and cremations.
The funeral will be held in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 6:00 pm with the Pastor Dennis Pollock officiating. The committal will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 11:00 am in Princeton Cemetery.
