Benson, NC: Mr. Lealon Ray Allen, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Services will be 2:00PM, Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Unity Advent Christian Church, 304 Unity Church Road, Four Oaks, NC 27524. Burial will follow in Harnett Devotional Gardens in Dunn, NC. Rev. Darren Brisco will officiate.
Mr. Allen was born on June 11, 1941 in Johnston County, NC to the late Earnie Benton and Pheobie West Allen. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Victor Allen and John Allen. Mr. Allen was a retired correctional officer with the North Carolina Department of Corrections. He was a member of Unity Advent Christian Church, Four Oaks, NC. Mr. Allen loved to repair most anything, spending time with his family, enjoyed the beach and car shows.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Janice West Allen, sons, Joseph Ray Allen and wife, Susan, and Christopher Lealon Allen and wife, Darlene; grandchildren, Joshua Barbour, Joseph Allen and wife, Jessica, Dillon Allen (Toni), Skyler Allen (Frank), Caris Allen, Brittany Radford, (Cory), Eric Radford and wife, Annah, Brittany Price, Kyle Price (Cortney); great-grandchildren, Kassidi, Jasper, Kinsley, Weston, Kolton, Karadi, Carson, Keelyn, Lizzy, and Brantley; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 6:00PM-8:00PM, Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC and other times at the home.
