Lewis Edward Allen

Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Lewis Edward “L.E.” Allen, age 72, of Four Oaks passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025 at his residence. Funeral Services will be held-2:00 PM Monday, November 24, 2025 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Chris Beasley. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson.

Mr. Allen was born on April 17, 1953 in Johnston County. He was preceded in death by his grandparents who raised him, Bill and Susie Allen, his brother-in-law, Andy Marler, and his loving mother-in-law and father-in-law who loved him like a son, Charles and Jerlene Marler.

He retired from Raleigh Central Prison where he worked as a Lieutenant Correctional Officer and later went on to work and retire from Johnston County Detention Center. He was a hardworking and generous man who would help anyone in need. He loved his Lord and Savior and was committed to his church, he has served as a deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, and sang in the choir. In his spare time, he loved to golf and hunt. He loved his family more than anything, especially is loving wife, Patsy and his nephew, Alexander.

Surviving include his wife of 51 years, Patsy Allen; sister-in-law, Alma Marler; and nephew, Alexander Marler.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM prior to the service at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
