Benson, NC: Mrs. Linda Faye Tew Wood, age 69, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be held 2:00PM, February 26, 2024 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Randy Beasley. Burial will follow at Pineland Cemetery in Dunn.
Linda was born on September 16, 1954 in Harnett County to the late Claude Junior Tew and Elizabeth Martin Tew. She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Tew and a sister, Rebecca Strickland. Linda was a home health care provider up until her retirement. Linda loved getting pampered which included getting her hair and nails done. Linda loved sewing and having a cup of coffee while she sewed. She loved her family especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Ray Donald Wood, Jr.; son, Dennis Wood and wife, Angelica of Dunn; daughter, Lisa Haugan of Shelby; grandchildren, Kimberly Wood, Serenity Wood, Holly Wood, Mason Wood, Matthew Wood, Dylan and Brandon; sisters, Brenda Beasley and husband, Eugene of Benson, Betty West and husband, Doug of Coats; brothers, Joseph Tew and wife, Joyce of Dunn, Samuel Tew of Dunn, David Tew of Erwin, Ron Tart and wife, Judy of Erwin.; several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home from 1:00PM to 1:45PM on Monday, February, 26.
