Linda Jane Hansen

Linda Budd Hansen of Smithfield, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth and strength touched everyone who knew her.

Born on May 30, 1951, in Ellenville, New York, to Herbert and Evelyn Budd, Linda was known for her kindness, her listening ear, and her thoughtful advice. Her love for her family was immeasurable and her legendary homemade baked ziti will forever be remembered and cherished.

A proud graduate of Ellenville High School, Class of 1969, Linda dedicated her life to caring for and supporting her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Evelyn Budd, and her beloved son, Allen Hansen.

Linda is survived by her children: Brad Hansen and wife Melanie, and Charlie Hansen and wife Kelly; her cherished grandchildren: LeeAnn, Scott, Hunter (wife Taylor), Tyler (wife Allexis), Blayze, Chandler, and Chloe; and her adored great-granddaughter, Olivia. She is also survived by her brothers Richard Budd, and Bret Budd and wife Holly; her niece Gabriella; nephews Shane, William, and Caleb; and her best friend of 48 years, Sharon.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Corinth Methodist Church, 4170 US Highway 301 S, Four Oaks, NC 27524.

Linda will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
