Linda Mae Tant Baker, 73, passed away at her home on Thursday, June 15, 2023 surrounded by her family. Linda was born on May 29, 1950 in Franklin County, NC to the late William Albert Tant and Ethel Mae Allen Tant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, JoAnn Allen and Judy Capps.
Linda loved cats and dogs. She really enjoyed her Pepsi. She loved going to yard sales and you would never see her without her toe socks with her flip flops, but most of all she loved her family dearly.
She is survived by her husband, William Junior Baker; sons, Billy Baker (Tracy) of Kenly, Charles Baker of Selma, and Johnny Baker (Angela) of Smithfield; daughter, Tammy Lancaster (Brian) of Kenly; close family friends, Stephen Jernigan; sister, Debbie Bissette (Ricky) of Selma; grandchildren, C. J. Baker, Jenna McKeel (Tyler), Blake Shearer, Caroline Hall (Colby), Hunter Baker, Callie Lancaster, and Dixon Lancaster; and her Best Friend, Glenda.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations.
The funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel with the Reverend Daniel Arant officiating.
