Linda Marie Englehart, age 72, peacefully passed away on Friday March 17, 2023, surrounded by loved ones at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, North Carolina. She was born on December 1, 1950, in Burlington County, New Jersey, a daughter of the late Richard and Ruth Davis. She is preceded in death by her late husband, Lawrence Englehart.
Linda was a member of Princeton Church of God for many years where she served at the Welcome Center and Back Pack Buddies. Linda always had a smile on her face and cared deeply for others. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She had a heart for all animals and cherished her chihuahuas, Sassy and Hershey. Traveling to the beach, playing Bingo, and Michigan Rummy were some of her favorite things to do. She also enjoyed the family tradition of vacationing at Cherrystone Family Camping Resort for over 60 years. Her family and friends are comforted by knowing that Linda accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior many years ago. She will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m.
She is survived by her children; Kasandra Richardson (Eric) of Angier, Edward Hammell (Brandy) of Princeton, Lindsay Umberger (Jay) of Clayton, Andrew Englehart (Emily) of Smithfield, Samantha Englehart (Katie) of Smithfield; Step-son, Lawrence Englehart Jr. of Clayton, Step-daughter, Laura Englehart of Smithfield; Sister, Nancy Haire of Oklahoma, sixteen grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at Springbrook Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clayton, as well as the staff at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield for the help and care Linda received.
