Linwood Sutton

Linwood Earl Sutton, 63, of Bentonville, passed away on December 27th, 2025 surrounded by family after a long, courageous battle with multiple health conditions.

Linwood was born on November 3rd, 1962 to Edward (Tink) Earl Sutton and Edna Earle Sutton of Newton Grove N.C. Linwood graduated from Hobbton High School in 1981. He was a dedicated employee for his 30 year career with the North Carolina Department of Corrections.

In 1982, Linwood met Charmane Lewis at the Newton Grove Circle. Linwood and Charmane went on to have two children, Lance Sutton and Amy Johnson.

In 2014, Linwood retired and spent his time working at Four Seasons Sports, working on guns, target practicing with his buddies and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by Charmane Sutton(wife), Lance Sutton(son) with his wife Carrie Sutton and three children Olivia, Naomi and Kyle, Amy Johnson(daughter) with her husband AJ Johnson and three children Aaron, Alyssa and Ashlyn, Edward “Tink” Sutton(father), Edna Sutton(mother) and LaBreeska Darden(sister) and her husband Johnathan Darden and children Mackenzie and Amberlie.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Taste of Heaven Campground, located at 2307 Harnett Dunn Hwy, Dunn NC on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 5:00PM to 7:00PM A Graveside service will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at 2:00PM at the Grantham Cemetery in Four Oaks.
