Lisa Carlotta Proctor

Lisa Carlotta Proctor, age 66, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born on May 19, 1959, in New Haven County, Connecticut, she was the daughter of Carlotta Proctor and the late James Proctor.

Lisa was a proud graduate of North Johnston High School. She made her home in the Kenly community for more than 30 years before spending the last 15 years in Selma. She worked at Big Boy’s Truck Stop, where she later retired. Lisa adored her granddaughters and shared a special bond with her beloved dog, “Mickey.”

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Kenly Missionary Baptist Church. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church.

Lisa is survived by her daughter, Erin Sodano (Jimmy); granddaughters, Lottie and Amelia Sodano; mother, Carlotta Proctor; significant other, Ray Thompson; sisters, Betsy Proctor and Patricia Weaver (Jeff); as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and a great-nephew.
