Selma – Louise “Weezie” Stanley Abbott, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at UNC Johnston Health Hospital after a long battle with dementia. Born in Johnston County on June 25, 1944, she was a daughter to the late Harrow Stanley and Dorothy Adams Lee.
Louise was a member of Church of Faith in Selma. She was a very simple lady who was loving, kind, and always had a smile on her face. She was a proud mother and grandmother and loved her family dearly.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Church of Faith at 910 W. Railroad Street, Selma 27576.
Burial will follow at Selma Memorial Gardens.
Louise is survived by her daughter, Libby Capps Tracey and husband Robert of Selma; son, Timothy Roger Capps of Kenly; sisters, Betty Justice and husband Dexter of Four Oaks; Jeanette Holland and husband Ricky Holland of Selma; Judy Massey and husband Donnie Massey of Currie; grandchildren, Holly Parker; Robin Tracey; Daniel Capps; Summer Capps; and great grandchildren, Alaina Tracey; Landon Tracey; and Greyson Parker.
