Lynwood Earl Hargis, 68, of Princeton passed away at his home on Monday, June 26, 2023 surrounded by his family. Lynwood was born in Carteret County on November 16, 1954 to the late James Edward Hargis and Mary Jane Sanders Uzzell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmy, Clarence and Baby Infant Hargis.
First and foremost, Lynwood loved his family. He loved going to the beach when he could. He also loved to go fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Wendy Wallace Hargis; son, Christopher Lynn Hargis of the home; daughter, Bridget Nicole Hargis Corbett (Dustin); grandchildren, Luke Corbett and Baylor Corbett.
The family will receive family and friends on Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations.
A Private Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023.
Although flowers are welcome, the family also suggests contributions in Lynn’s memory be made to 3 HC, Home, Health and Hospice, 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
The family would like to say a very special thank you to 3 HC Home, Health and Hospice, especially to Amy, Angela, Brianna, Julie, Jill, Mrs. Overby and Denise for being there on June 26th.
