Macy Leanna Barbee 

    Macy Leanna Barbee, 31, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025. Born in Wilson County on May 19, 1993, she was the daughter of Tammy Lynn Barbee.

    Macy was preceded in death by her grandpa, James Barbee.

    Macy is survived by her mother, Tammy Lynn Barbee (Chad Keen); sister, Olivia Brooke; grandmother, Brenda Barbee; uncle, Robert Barbee (Amy); aunt, Sandra Joyner (Brandon); and cousins, Logan and Anthony.

    Macy was a shining light in the lives of many, a young woman whose spirit was unyielding, and whose love for her family and friends knew no bounds. Despite the many challenges she faced throughout her life, Macy never allowed them to define her. She met every obstacle with resilience, strength, and an unwavering sense of self, reminding all of us of the power of joy and determination.

    Macy had a zest for life that was contagious. She enjoyed the simple pleasures, from riding in the golf cart with the wind in her hair to spending hours immersed in her favorite video games. There was a special magic in the way she could turn the smallest moment into something unforgettable. She had an unmatched enthusiasm for scratch-off tickets, always hopeful, always eager to see what the next one would bring. Her infectious energy and laughter were a testament to her bold, adventurous spirit.

    Macy was fiercely loyal to her friends and family, showering them with affection and a deep, unwavering love. Her presence in their lives was a gift, and the bond she shared with each person was irreplaceable. Her love for those closest to her was unshakable, and she brought out the best in everyone fortunate enough to know her.

    Macy loved attention, and she embraced every moment of it with her unique charm. Those who knew her will remember her bright smile, her quick wit, and the special way she made everyone feel important. As we say goodbye to her, we know her legacy will continue to live on in the laughter she shared, the love she gave, and the lessons she taught us all about resilience, joy, and unconditional love.

    The family will have a time of visitation and remembrance on Thursday, April 3, 2025 , from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Kenly Funeral Service. A service to celebrate Macy’s life will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Kenly Funeral Service. Interment will be held at Kenly Cemetery.
