Coats, NC: Mrs. Margaret Creech King, age 81, of Coats passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Wake Medical Center. Funeral Service will be held-4:00 PM Saturday September 14, 2024 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Randy Beasley. Burial will follow in Harnett Devotional Gardens in Dunn.
Mrs. King was born on September 19, 1942 in Johnston County to the late Waymon and Lois Dupree Creech. She was also predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Glenn King; brothers, Billy Creech and Donald Creech; and sisters, Rebecca C. Cobb and Clara C. Wood.
She was a graduate of Four Oaks High School, class of 1960. She worked for many years at Morganite Inc. and retired from the North Carolina Finance Agency. After retirement, she and her husband enjoyed touring in 49 of the 50 states on their Honda Goldwing motorcycle. Other hobbies included spending time at Surf City, fishing, gardening, and crossword puzzles. Her family was very important to her.
Left to cherish her memory are a son, Tim King and wife, Angela of Coats; beloved grandchildren, Garrett King and Kaylan King; sister-in-law, Clara N. Creech; nieces, Vickie C. Gay and Lisa Cobb; and nephews, Keith Wood, Michael Wood, and Eddie Creech.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM prior to the service at Rose and Graham Funeral Home on September 14, 2024.
