Garner, NC: Mrs. Margaret Denning Stewart, age 84, of 1401 Denning Drive, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be 12:00PM-Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Coats, NC. Rev. Leonard Rex will officiate. Burial will follow in the Coats City Cemetery.
Mrs. Stewart was born on January 1, 1938 in Harnett County, NC to the late Esco and Dora Williams Denning. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Wayne Stewart. In 1972, alongside her late husband, they founded Eastern Courier Corporation in Garner, where she still served as Vice President. She was also a homemaker and was loved by her family.
Survivors include her sons, Mike Stewart and wife, Penni, and Steve Stewart all of Garner; grandchildren, Austin Stewart, Dylan Stewart and wife, Tara, GMSA Tyler Stewart, Brionna Stewart, and Kaley Stewart; great-grandchildren, Ryder Stewart, LeeRoy Stewart, Raelynn Stewart, and Ruby Stewart.
The family will receive friends 10:30AM-11:45AM on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Coats, NC and other times at the home.
