Margaret Gale Pipkin

Margaret Gale Pipkin, 78, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at her home in Selma. Born July 22, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Steven “Bud” Myers and Fannie “Irene” Tyner Myers. In addition to her parents, Gale was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Capps and Robert Pipkin; and siblings, Carl Myers, Jimmy Myers, and Mary Blackmon.
Gale was a talented seamstress who found great joy in sewing and creating beautiful things with her hands. Her love of sewing was a special part of who she was, and she took pride in her work and the care she put into everything she made. Gale enjoyed life’s simple beauties. She loved butterflies and lighthouses, and she found happiness in gardening and watching things grow. Gale was an incredible cook who truly enjoyed preparing meals for the people she loved, sharing not only her food but the warmth and love that went into making it. On Sunday mornings, Gale could be found watching church services when she could not attend in person. She was blessed with an incredible memory and could remember details and moments that others might have long forgotten. Gale carried those memories with her throughout her life and had a way of making people around her feel remembered and cared for.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 2:00pm, in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors one-hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00pm. Flowers are appreciated or in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to your favorite charity.
Gale is survived by her sons, Dewayne Capps (Stephanie) and Lynn Capps; sister, Lillian Snead; grandchildren, Robbie Capps, Tyler Capps (Tabitha), and Jamie Capps; and great-grandchildren, Jax, Kaylie, Lukas, Morgan, Addison, Carson, Laynah, Skylar, Emma, Ethan, Eliana, Kiley, and Danka.
