Benson, NC: Mrs. Margaret Jane Adams Jernigan, age 95, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehab in Benson, NC. Graveside Funeral Services will be 3:00PM, Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Roselawn Cemetery in Benson, NC. Rev. Glenn McCullen will officiate. In case of inclement weather, the service will be held in the Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson, NC. Please check the website or call the funeral home.
Mrs. Jernigan was born on June 21, 1928 to the late Julius and Ruth Adams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Carl Jernigan, daughter, Sherry Johnson, son, Terry Herring, grandson, Nicholas Herring, son-in-law, Charles Hardy, and brothers, Jimmy Adams, Carl Adams and Bobby Adams. Mrs. Jernigan retired from the Shirt Factory in Benson, NC and was also a homemaker. She attended Stoney Run Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church outside Dunn, NC.
Survivors are her children, Billy Herring and wife, Linda; and Brenda Hardy; grandchildren, Billy Ray Herring, Michael Herring, Amanda Garman, Samantha Scott, and Terra Jackson; great-grandchildren, Cori Bleazey, Tabitha Herring, Kally Herring, Logan Herndon, Morgan Kutt, Caroline Scott and Kaitlyn Jackson; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2:00PM-2:45PM-Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC.
