Margaret “Peggy” Louise Casey

    Margaret “Peggy” Louise Andrade Casey, 70, of Smithfield, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2022 at the SECU Hospice House surrounded by her family. Peggy was born in Monroe County, New York on October 3, 1951 to the late Ralph Warren Andrade and Florence Muszak Andrade. In addition to her parents, Peggy is preceded in death by her great grandson Micah Smith.

    Peggy is survived by her husband, Jimmy Ray Casey; son, Alan Casey and wife Cynthia of Smithfield; daughter, Barbie Huffman and husband Jeff of Smithfield; sister, Linda Wall of Jarvisburg, N.C.; grandchildren, Candice Smith, Justen Casey, Casey Huffman, Cassidy Goodwin, Josh Huffman, and several other family and friends.

    Peggy was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She was a faithful member of Sanders Chapel United Methodist Church and a part of the United Methodist Women’s Group. She enjoyed working with all the children at the school whether it was as a bus driver or in the cafeteria. She was famous for her baking, especially her cakes. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed but precious memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

    The funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, September 12, 2022 at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel with Pastor Grayson Fowler officiating. The visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM on Monday, September 12, 2022 at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations in Princeton. A private burial will be held in the Sanders Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
