Mary Catherine McLamb Howard

Benson, NC: Mrs. Mary Catherine McLamb Howard, age 81 of Riddick Street passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026 at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family. Graveside Funeral Services will be 11:00AM Monday, January 12, 2026 at Harnett Devotional Gardens in Dunn. Family will receive friends from following the graveside service and other times at the home of Dianne Turner. Revs. Mike Courtney and Shannon Crowell will officiate.

Mrs. Howard was born on October 4, 1944 in Johnston County to the late Redding and Daisy Allen McLamb. She retired from Chicopee/ Johnson and Johnson Manufacturing in Benson. Mrs. Howard enjoyed going fishing and attending the Benson Senior Center. She enjoyed talking on the telephone checking in with family and friends.

She is survived by her children, DeWayne Howard, Dianne H. Turner and husband, John, Crystal Howard Allen and husband, Rudy; grandchildren, Justin Turner and wife, Mari, Deanne Temple and husband, Josh, Andrew Turner, Melissa Turner, Dylan Fridley, Ryder Allen, and Caitlin Allen; step-grandson, Don Holder; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Temple and Noah Temple; step-great-grandchildren, Davis Holder and Waylon Holder; brothers, Ray McLamb, Graylon McLamb and wife, Nelda, Curtis McLamb and wife, Linda, and Dennis McLamb; several nieces and nephews.
