Benson, NC: Mrs. Mary Ellen Capps Johnson, age 80, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023 at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville surrounded by her loving family. Memorial Services will be 3:00PM Sunday, April 30, 2023 at the Benson Pentecostal Holiness Church in Benson. Rev. Mark Fields will officiate.
Mrs. Johnson was born on November 20, 1942 in Johnston County, NC to the late William Alfred and Nellie Norris Capps. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar Kendall Johnson; sister, Violet C. Johnson; and a brother, Raeford Capps. Mrs. Johnson retired from Mebane Pharmaceuticals and was a member of the Benson Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Lynn Parker of Benson; grandchildren, Christopher Parker and Marie Parker; brother, W. A. Capps, Jr. and wife, Mary Ellen of Pensacola, Fl., Mike Capps and wife, Janet of Pine Level; sister, Sue Hall and husband, Larry of Benson; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends following the memorial service.
