Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Melisea Spivey Whitley, age 59, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023 at UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC. A Memorial Service will be held 6:00PM-Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Four Oaks, NC. Pastor Eddie White will officiate.
Mrs. Whitley was born on December 31, 1963 to the late George and Ruby Spivey. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Douglas Lamar Spivey, and Donald Lewis Spivey. Mrs. Whitley was a loving mother, and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Jamie Travis Whitley, children, Shannon Lee McGee, Shawn Patrick Spivey, Travis Lee Whitley, Tracy Ryan Whitley, April McKenzie Williams, and husband, Dennis, Donald Jamie Whitley, Ashley Whitley, and Erica Avery; grandchildren, Kaleb Wayne Whitley, Blake Owen Whitley, Jordan Lee Whitley, Samuel Jamie Grissom, Sawyer Ryan Williams, Sylias Fisher Williams, and CassidyLuanne Williams; sister, Denise S. Goodwin, and husband, Jeff; half-sisters, Kay Pope and Kathy Pope.
The family will receive friends following the memorial service on Wednesday at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC.
