Benson, NC: Mr. Michael Joseph Sequin, age 70, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Services will be held January 5 at 10:00AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Smithfield. A graveside service will be held on January 10 at 12:00PM at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro. Bishop Andrew Coffman will be officiating.
Mr. Sequin was born on February 10, 1953 in the state of New York to the late Herbert and Theresa Quinn Seguin. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy and sisters, Patirica and baby Rita. Michael grew up on his family’s dairy farm, with his five siblings. He was in 4H, basketball, and soccer. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years Jennifer; sons, Jason and wife, Dianna, James; daughters, Arile and husband, Jacob and Morgan; ten grandchildren, Sheldon and wife, Bailey, Riley, Jayden, Kelson, Destiny, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Star, Blaze, Waylon and Killian; seven great grandchildren, Adien, Haze, Mason, Luke, Alaia, Zayden and Carter; sisters, Gloria and husband, George and Cathy and husband, Dave; sisters -in-law, Robin and husband, Gary and Cindy and husband, Steve; many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Friday, January 5 from 9:00AM to 9:45AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 303 Canterbury Rd., Smithfield NC.
