Clayton N.C. – Michael Lee Fann, age 60, passed away Saturday morning, December 9, 2023.
Michael was born in Harnett County on July 26, 1963 to Bobby and Dorothy Johnson Fann. Michael, a 1981 graduate of Clayton High School, loved fishing, golf, and all sports. He worked as assistant pro golfer at Pine Hollow Golf course in Clayton.
Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Johnson Fann; a brother, Bobby Ray Fann and his companion Kellie Manarino of Wendell; his sister, Michele Fann Core and her husband, Tommy of Dunn; niece, Victoria Core; nephews, Blake Core and Shane Fann as well as several cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Fann; and his maternal grandparents, Delma and Amanda Hudson Johnson; his paternal grandparents, Connie and Bessie Hardison Fann.
A graveside service celebrating Michael’s life will be on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 2:00pm at Maplewood Cemetery with Pastor Jerry Waters officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at McLaurin Funeral Home from 5:00 until 7:00pm.
