Oliver Dwight Wall

Oliver Dwight Wall, born April 4, 1944, of Selma, passed away on February 24, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Oliver was known by many and loved by even more. He was truly one of those rare people who seemed to know everyone — and everyone knew him. His larger-than-life personality, easy conversation, and genuine spirit made him incredibly popular throughout his life.
He proudly served in the United States Army, carrying that same sense of loyalty and dedication into everything he did. Over the years, Oliver worked as an accountant, helping countless people in his community with patience and care.
His greatest passion, however, was drag racing. The roar of an engine and the thrill of the track brought him pure joy. Racing wasn’t just a hobby — it was a legacy. His son and granddaughter proudly carried on that passion, something that meant the world to him and brought him immeasurable pride. When he wasn’t at the track, you could almost always find him in his shop, working on cars, tuning engines, and doing what he loved most.
Oliver was preceded in death by his mother, (Dorothy Wall), and his father, (Dwight Wall)
He is survived by his loving daughter, Heidi Hester (Ron); his son, Brian Wall (Belinda); his sister, Faye Smith (Joseph); and his grandchildren, Breanne Wall, Madison Wall, and Theodore Wall, each of whom brought him tremendous pride and happiness.
There will be no public service held at this time.
A private family service will take place at a later date.
He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.
