Kenly — Pamela Anne Conway, of Kenly, NC passed from this earthly life into her eternal home, suddenly and peacefully at home. The family would like to thank all of the wonderful first responders from Kenly for their excellent and professional care.
Upon graduation from Potomac High School in Maryland, she married her high school sweetheart. Immediately, following their marriage they embarked on a 21- year adventure with the Air Force. Her blood ran NC State red in support of her children’s Alumni. She enjoyed her career she took on in 1990 as a military merchandise representative, ending it just Friday, June 23, 2023 as her last day worked with Lisa Collis Sole Proprietor. Pam really enjoyed spending time with her soul mate travelling all around the world including RVing. She enjoyed her family and grandchildren anytime she had the chance to be with any of them. Of course, we cannot forget her family with Southern Cruisers and all the fun times with her riding name given “Crazy Lady”. Mom knew no strangers and made everyone her family.
Pam is survived by her spouse Scott Conway and their two children, Stefanie Burkett, husband Eric, son Skyler of Middlesex, NC and Robert Conway and wife, Melissa, son Tommy and daughter Savannah of Kenly, NC. Preceded by her parents John and Annalee Mackin and grandson Talyn Burkett.
The family will receive other family and friends to have a celebration of Life at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma, NC from 1PM to 3PM Saturday, July 1st, 2023 for visitation. There will be a Cemetery Columbarium Niche Placement, this date has not been set and will be provided for the location at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Goldsboro, NC at a future date.
Pam’s wishes are that all potable plants be sent with the family and placed at their homes in her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to ask that a memorable donation be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital in memory of Pamela Anne Conway, Link: https://www.stjude.org/give/memorials-and-dedications.html?sc_icid=wtg-lz-memorials.
Also, in loving memory of Pam, who may not be physically with us on this day and who we know will be there with us in our hearts. She possessed an unparalleled zest for life, and her vibrant energy always brought joy to those around her. Let us take a moment to reminisce and celebrate the fun filled stories that made her so special to each of us. So, as we gather on this day, let us honor her by sharing these treasured tales, reliving the joy she brought into our lives, and keeping her vibrant spirit alive within us all. We ask that if you have a great memory to either write it before and drop it in a box we will have set out, jot down something when you get there in the book or grab the mic and share live.
We will receive family back at the Conway home following the Celebration of Life.
Online condolences may be sent to the family at parrishfh.com.
