Mrs. Patsy Imojean Parker Johnson, age 91, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023, at the SECU Hospice House. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on April 3, 2023 at Antioch United Methodist Church, Hwy. 701 S. Four Oaks. Rev. Walter Gaskins and Rev. Rodney Raby will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson was born on October 10, 1931 in Smithfield, NC to the late Joseph B. and Mattie W. Parker. She was preceded in death by all of her siblings, siste4rs: Mary, Ruby, Iris, Mattie Lee, brothers: Dennis, J.B., Elmer and Wilson, her first child Joseph and a grandson, Jacob. Mrs. Johnson graduated from Four Oaks High School in 1950, earned an associate’s degree from Hardbarger’s Business College and retired as a bookkeeper from the Bank of Four Oaks. She was an avid gardener, a wonderful cook, and the best wife, mother, and grandmother to us all.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis, her children, H.M. and wife Sherry, Max and wife Faye, Amanda and husband Roby; grandchildren, Chad, Josh, Myra, Perry, Aubrey and Emma Grace; great-grandchildren, MaKenna, Will, Alaina, Woods and Warren. Receiving of family and friends will take place from 6 till 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at West & Dunn Funeral Home, Newton Grove and other times at her home.
The family would like to express their gratitude to each caregiver at the SECU Hospice House. Their kindness and compassion was extended to all of us for the past six weeks. In addition, a special thanks to all the family caregivers.
