Willow Spring, NC: Mrs. Peggy King Tucker, age 79, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at The ARC in Dunn, NC surrounded by her loving family. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Lakeside Memorial Gardens, Angier NC. Reverend Jim Dyer will officiate.
Mrs. Tucker was born on October 17, 1942 in Johnston County, NC and was the fourth of five children to the late Lester Haywood King and Letha Young King. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Junior Tucker; son, Doug McCormick; grandson, Luke Hatch; brothers, Leawood King and Lee Roy King; and sister, Doris Jean Hobby.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children and spouses, Tammy and Billy Gregory, Kelly and Lee Hatch; step-children, Junior Tucker, David and wife, Lisa Tucker; sister, Elaine Ellis; granddaughter and spouse, Amanda and Kurt Wamsley; grandchildren, Gracie and Charlie Hatch; grandchildren, Ashley, Kaitlyn, Adam and Riley Tucker; and great-grandchildren, Reed, Liana and Delilah Wamsley; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Mrs. Tucker was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, Angier, NC. Peggy was kind, had a giving heart and greeted everyone with a smile. She loved spending time with her family, naps, long phone conversations, shopping and dancing. Peggy found joy and comfort in her baby, Tinkerbell. Her family will love and miss her always.
In accordance with the NC COVID 19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing guidelines. Masks are required for all services.
Flowers are appreciated but, the family suggests memorials be made to The ARC of Dunn, 217 Jonesboro Road, Dunn, NC 28334.
