Garner, NC: Mrs. Peggy Ruth Blackmon Creech, age 72, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023 at UNC Clayton Hospital in Clayton, NC. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM-Friday, September 1, 2023 at Benson Grove Baptist Church 6966, NC HWY 50 N. Angier, NC 27501. Rev. Dr. Billy Cashwell will officiate. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson, NC.
Mrs. Creech was born on April 26, 1951 in Johnston County, NC. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Lee Blackmon. Mrs. Creech was a homemaker and a member of Benson Grove Baptist Church. She loved to paint flower pots, and sewing. She was also known for calling everyone she met “Goody”.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Bobby Ray Creech; daughters, Dawn Creech, and Jana Brown and husband, Danny; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Bowling, Jackson Stevens, Dean Brown and Troy Brown; father, Robert Blackmon; sister, Brookie Ellis and husband, Lyn; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 6:00PM-8:00PM-Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Benson Grove Baptist Church.
