Peggy Sue Andrews Lamm, age 76, passed away at Cardinal Care of Dunn Nursing Home on Friday, December 16, 2022. Born in Johnston County on August 24, 1946, she was a daughter to the late Callie Andrews and Beatrice Allen Andrews.
Peggy was known as a headstrong, independent woman who was set in her ways. She was strong in her Christian faith and loved the Lord. She also had strong political opinions and donated to causes that she believed in. Peggy enjoyed spending time with her family, taking care of them and playing games together. She enjoyed being outside working in her yard, filling her birdfeeders, and bird watching. You would often find Peggy sitting on her porch, watching the birds fly from feeder to feeder.
A funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m., just prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Sandy Grove cemetery in Angier.
In addition to her parents, Peggy is preceded in death by her brothers, Terry Andrews, Billy Andrews, and sister, Ruby Jones.
She is survived by her daughters, Melanie Adams and husband Chris of Clayton; Michele Lamm of Garner; sister, Dottie Denton of Garner; and grandsons, Chris and Josh Adams, both of Clayton.
