Peter Dennis Kenefick

Peter Dennis Kenefick, Sr., 89, of Clayton, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, June 18, 2026.

Born on May 23, 1937, in New Haven County, Connecticut, Peter was a son of the late John Henry Kenefick and Ellen Gertrude Hourigan Kenefick.

Peter dedicated 36 years of service as a Utility Specialist with Northeast Utilities. He was a proud member of the BPOE Elks and St. John’s Catholic Church of Old Saybrook, Connecticut.

Peter will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Nancy Dean Kenefick; his sons, Peter Dennis Kenefick, Jr. (Gina) and Scott Robert Kenefick (Sarah); his daughter, Ellen Marie Duran; grandchildren; Jason Duran (Alyssa), Alexander Kenefick (Ariana), Julia Kenefick, Scott Ishmael Kenefick, Deidra Cooper Kenefick; great children; Charlee Rae Duran and Codee Jason Duran. He was predeceased by his brothers; Richard William Kenefick and John Henry Kenefick; his sisters, Beverly Spellacy, Catherine Harville, and Mary Pike, and grandchild Peter Dennis Kenefick III.
