Phereba Smith Holland, 72, passed away at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield on Friday, May 19, 2023.
Ms. Holland was born in Johnston County on May 20, 1949 to the late David Lawrence Smith and Mozelle Dupree Smith. In addition to the parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Dennis Earl Smith and Charles Smith.
Phereba is survived by a son, Jerry Anthony Holland of Princeton; sister-in-law, Rebecca Smith of Smithfield; nieces, Amy Smith Britt, and Crystal Thompson.
There will be a gathering of family and friends from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel.
