Benson, NC: Mr. Phillip Dell “Phil” Lucas, Jr., age 70, of N. Lincoln Street, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at his residence. Graveside Funeral Services will be 3:00PM-Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Roselawn Cemetery in Benson. Rev. Glenn McCullen will officiate.
Mr. Lucas was born in Harnett County to the late Phillip Dell “P.D.”, Sr., and Dorothy “Jean” Holmes Lucas. He was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Ray “Tony” Lucas; and a step-son, Will Lucas. Mr. Lucas was a retired distributor with Tom’s Snack Foods, was a car salesman, and a bookkeeper.
Surviving include his wife, Gloria E. Lucas of Four Oaks; daughter, Jennifer Lucas Burgess; son, Brent Lee Lucas; step-son, Rodney Harris; nephew, Spencer Anthony Lucas; five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Benson Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, 205 E. Hill Street, Benson, NC 27504.
