Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Richard Lindsey O’Neal, age 83, of Wilkin’s-O’Neal Road passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, NC. Funeral Services will be held 11:00AM, Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Faith Free Will Baptist Church, Four Oaks. Rev. Allen Wayne Stanley and Mr. Greg Thompson will officiate. Burial will follow in Faith Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, Four Oaks, NC.
Mr. O’Neal was born on July 17, 1938 in Wake County to the late Henry and Mary Richards O’Neal. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Janice M. O’Neal. Mr. O’Neal retired after 40 years as a diesel mechanic.
Surviving include his granddaughter, Heather Norman of Goldsboro; grandson, Joshua Britt of Benson; great-grandson, Luke Raynor and wife, Kaitlin of Four Oaks; great-great grandson, Bentley Lane Raynor; special friend, Judy Stephenson of Lillington; and a community of friends that called him “PaPa”.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 10:00AM to 10:45AM at Faith Free Will Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Four Oaks, NC and other times at the home of Luke and Kaitlin Raynor, 185 Wilkin’s O’Neal Road, Four Oaks, NC 27524.
