Ricky Dean Barbour

Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Ricky Dean Barbour, age 75, passed away on January 25, 2026 at the Brookdale Senior Living in Smithfield, NC. Memorial Services will be held 11:00AM Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Four Oaks. Officiating will be Pastor Eddie White. The family will receive friends following the memorial service.

Mr. Barbour was born February 24, 1950 in Harnett County to the late Thomas Oscar and Joyce Fields Barbour.

Ricky was a 1968 graduate of Smithfield High School and later received his associates degree from Kings College. He was a member of the National Guard. Ricky worked as a material handler for the majority of his life, first at CP&L and then later for West Logistics. For many years, Mr Barbour was a devoted member of the Four Oaks Civitan club and devoted many hours to volunteering in his community. One of his favorite activities was helping to coach youth sports teams. Ricky enjoyed meeting and interacting with people and always had a joke ready. As long as he was able, he worked at the NC State Fair and loved meeting new people and seeing old friends as well. He looked forward to this every year.

Mr. Barbour is survived by his son, Patrick Barbour and wife, Beverly, daughter, Natalie Norris and husband, David; grandchildren, Alyssa and Finn Norris, Joshua Mattingly (Kelsey), Tyler Vigil and Brandon Vigil; two great-grandchildren; sister, Teresa Calton; nephews, Paul Calton (Meredith), Travis Calton (Meredith) and niece, Leigh Peterson (Joey) along with several great nieces and nephews.
