In Loving Memory of Bob French
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our brother in Christ, Robert Lewis French Jr. He was a dedicated husband, father, and Son.

Bob was born on the coldest day of the year in Beckley, West Virginia on February 10, 1958. His mother, Cleo French, told him there was an inch of ice on the window. Bob left us on a beautiful spring day in North Carolina on April 29, 2025. His baby brother: David French, his father: Robert French Sr. “Frenchie,” and Grandma: Rebecca Vitsos “Becky” meet him in heaven with our savior: Jesus Christ.

He leaves behind his wife: Terry Lively, mother: Cleo French, brother: Steve “Stevie” French, son: Caleb French (with Summer Ferrell), and daughter: Brianne French (with Alex Jolly).

In lieu of flowers and gifts, his family requests that you donate to his church, New Life Baptist, in Smithfield, NC – where services will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025. Visitation is 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, service 11:00 AM. Burial will follow immediately after the service. Bob was very passionate about his faith and this church. He would be overjoyed at any donations that can be made in his honor.

From his pastor: Bob was a faithful servant of God, a cherished friend, and a shining light in our congregation. Bob was a friend to all who knew him. His generosity, faith, and willingness to serve will be deeply missed.

We celebrate the life he lived and the eternal life he has now entered. As we mourn his absence, we find comfort in the promise of Scripture: “Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your master.” (Matthew 25:21)
