Smithfield – Rochelle West Barnes, age 69, passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 13, 2024 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. She was born in Harnett County on September 25, 1955 to the late Floyd Oliver West and Sue Gainey West.
The family will receive visitors in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home on Monday November 18, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service will follow the visitation in the chapel on Monday at 2:00 PM with Pastor Don Dewberry officiating. Entombment will take place in Selma Memorial Gardens immediately after the service.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur Barnes of Smithfield; sons, Oliver Dennis and wife Christie of Broadway, Robert Barnes, and wife Kristen of Smithfield; grandchildren, Victoria Williams and husband Josh, Westley Dennis, Daniel Barnes; great grandchildren, Athena, Aidan, Wyatt and RaeLynn; brothers, Lloyd West of Coleridge, and Donald West of Erwin.
Rochelle loved gardening, flowers, cooking, watching leaves change in the Fall, watching humming birds, spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her love for her family was unconditional because Jesus lived in her heart.
