Ronald Gray Sasser, 90, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024 in Smithfield. Born and raised in Johnston County, he was the son of the late Ronald Lester Sasser and Lucy Pittman Sasser.
In addition to his parents, Ronald is preceded in death by his wife, Deloise Sasser; son, Ronnie William Sasser; sister, Martha Sasser Marlowe; and brothers, Alfred Roy Sasser and Donald “Doddie” Ray Pittman.
Ronald is survived by his nephew, Keith Pittman; daughter-in-law, Teresa Sasser; and best friend, Julius Lee.
For all his life, Ronald was a farmer. He would get up early and see what the day would bring on the farm. Ronald enjoyed the simple things in life. He enjoyed being able to walk around his farm, always wearing his coveralls.
A time of visitation and remembrance will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Kenly Funeral Service from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A private graveside will be held at the Pittman Cemetery.
