Sally Campbell Register, 75, of 710 Bridge Street in Smithfield died Sunday, Februay 10, 2022 at SECU Hospice House following a period of declining health.
Born October 25, 1946 in Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Charles B. Register, Jr. and the late Ida Campbell Register.
She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Kenly, NC. She was a 1965 graduate of Smithfield High School. She began her first employment with Carolina Telephone and Telegraph and remained until the company began to phase out and merge at which time, she took an early retirement package. She began her employment with the Department of Transportation shortly thereafter and remained for the next eighteen years and retired in 2016.
Friends will be received from 1:00 p.m.-1:45 p.m. on Monday, February 14, 2022 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. The Rev. Daniel Arant will officiate. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery in Smithfield.
There are no immediate survivors.
