Samuel Brent Price

Samuel Brent Price

Samuel Brent Price entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on May 23, 2026, the day of his 49th birthday. He was born in Wilson County in 1977 to Sammy Jay Price and Winnie Jeffreys Price.

Brent was a loyal employee of BrightSpeed for 30 years as a service technician. Whenever his coworkers called, even in the middle of the night, he was willing to go out and help. That’s just the type of person he was.

Brent had a genuine heart for service, which was evident through his commitment to both his church and community. As a dedicated member of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church, he gave his time and leadership as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, and AWANA leader over the years. When he was 18, he joined the Antioch Volunteer Fire Department. He served as a captain, first responder, and President of the Board. Brent played an active role in the construction of the department’s new station and enjoyed mentoring his fellow firemen. He spent time coaching and helping with Luke’s baseball teams. Whenever he wasn’t coaching Luke, he was teaching Peyton how to play golf and they were able to share a love for the game. Peyton and Luke were the light of his life, he was so proud of them. He is preceded in death by his father, Sammy Price.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Missionary Baptist Church with the burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 20 years, Elizabeth Price, and their children, Peyton and Luke, along with his faithful canine companion, Woody, his mother Winnie Price, sister Amy Beasley (Stacy), nieces Savannah Beasley, Emily Cox (Daniel).

Brent loved people. He could light up a room with his contagious smile and sense of humor. Anyone who knew him couldn’t help but love him. He will be greatly missed. This world lost an amazing son, brother, husband, and father.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Antioch Firefighters Association, 10668 NC-42 Middlesex NC 27557. Please share your special memories of Brent with Elizabeth by card in the coming days.
