Sarah Priscilla Tucker Grice

Sarah Priscilla Tucker Grice, 78, passed away at Kitty Askins Hospice Center on Sunday, June 21, 2026. She was born on March 24, 1948 to the late George Holland Tucker and Hettie Estelle Price Tucker Holland.

Priscilla was the kind of person who found joy in the little things. She loved spending Saturday mornings at yard sales, working in her garden, watching the birds gather at her feeders and making crafts, especially the beautiful wreaths she was so proud of.

She and Daddy shared 60 years of marriage, creating a lifetime of memories and showed us what love and commitment look like. But if there was anything she loved even more, it was her family. She treasured every moment with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and she made each of us feel special.

One of my favorite memories is when we wanted to go roller skating as kids, Momma had never skated a day in her life, but that didn’t matter to her. She put on a pair of skates and learned because she wanted to be right there with us. That’s who she was. She never let fear or a challenge stand in her way, especially if it meant making memories with the people she loved.

More than anything, Momma loved the Lord. Her faith was the foundation of her life and it showed in the way she loved, served, and cared for everyone around her.

As her children, we never had to wonder if we were loved. We always came first. No matter what was happening, she was there with a listening ear, a helping hand, or a prayer. That king of love is a gift that will stay with us forever.

We’ll miss her laughter, she strength , her wisdom, and all the little things that made her who she was. While our hearts are broken, we find peace in knowing she is exactly where she always longed to be – home with her Savior. And until we meet again, we’ll carry her love with us every single day.

Priscilla is survived by her husband, Walter Clifton Grice, Jr.; sons, Walter Clifton Grice, III, and David Grice and wife, Terri; daughter, Kristy Corbett and husband, Donnie; sisters, Kaye Warner, and Rose Grice and husband, William; grandchildren, Alex Grice, Kristal Eubanks and husband, Devin, Donna Carter and husband, Drake and Donnie Corbett, Jr.; great grandchildren, Elisha Eubanks, Emma Eubanks, Jacob Carter and Raelyn Carter.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026 at 10:00 am at Wayne Memorial Park, 2925 US Hwy 117, Dudley, NC 28333 with the Reverend Andy Stoval officiating.
