Kenly – Shane Michael Horne, 27, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023. Born in Nash County on December 20, 1995, he was the son of Michael Horne and Teresa Garris Horne.
A service to celebrate Shane’s life will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Brian Wible officiating. The family will greet friends prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
In addition to his parents, Shane is survived by his sister, Megan Horne; his guardian angel aunt, Judy Horne; his god-parents, Rose Horne and husband, James; several aunts and uncles; and his faithful and unconditional canine, Bella.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Faye Squires, Henry Garris, Percy Horne and Arthie Mae Horne.
