Sheila Ann Stafford

Sheila Ann Stafford, 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at the Enclave in Clayton. Born April 17, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Stella Yarzebinski. In addition to her mother, Sheila is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Stafford; and brothers, Mitchell Yarzebinski and Johnny Yarzebinksi.

Sheila spent her career as a geriatric nurse and shared her passion for nursing with others as an Instructor at Johnston Community College and Stanley Community College until her retirement. She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Smithfield. In her free time, Sheila enjoyed travelling and making quilts.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm, at Parrish Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to 3HC at https://www.3hc.org/donate-now/.

Sheila is survived by her sons, Chris Stafford (Michelle), Darryl Stafford, and Michael Stafford (Jennifer); grandchildren, Cory Stafford (Amanda), Brittney Daniels (Ellis), Erica Tucker, Tory Stafford, Trevor (Lindsey), and LeAnn; and 14 great-grandchildren.
