Tammy Baugus Kenyon

Tammy Renee Baugus Kenyon, 59, passed away on April 22, 2026, at her home, surrounded by family and friends. She was born November 22, 1966, in Scotland Neck, NC, to the late James William Baugus and Mary Ann Fromer Baugus. Tammy graduated from the University of Phoenix with a bachelor’s in business administration.

A devoted wife and mother who always put her family first, Tammy retired from First Citizens Bank after 27 years of service. She loved preserving memories through scrapbooking; spending time with family and friends in the mountains and at the beach; and she especially loved the companionship of her four-legged family members, her dogs, Molly, River, and Phoebe.

Tammy was a metastatic breast cancer fighter for seven years. She fought hard and always with a positive attitude and amazing faith in her Lord. She did not lose her battle—she ran her race with perseverance and faith and has now crossed the finish line into the arms of her Savior.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Tammy’s life on Saturday, April 25, 2026, with visitation at 10 a.m., followed by a service at 11 a.m. at Parrish Funeral Home, located at 1351 S. Pollock Street, Selma, NC 27576.

Tammy is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 39 years, William Harry Kenyon; the joy of her life, her daughter, Kaylon Kenyon Breedlove; her daughter-in-law, Caitlin Breedlove; her sister-in-law, Teresa Massey, and her husband, Jimmy Massey; her niece, Skyy Crowley; and her nephew, Dakota Crowley. She was preceded in death by her sister, Angelique Hamilton of Long Island, NY.

The family extends a special and heartfelt thank you to friends Marty, Christy, and Halle Shirley, Kim Parker, and Pastor Steve Singleton for their love and support.

The family wishes to recognize Dr. Julia Rauch and the staff of UNC Rex Hematology and Medical Oncology in Garner, NC, and Heartland Hospice for their compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, Tammy asked for donations to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
