Thomas “Gene” Eugene Dixon Jr.

Selma – Thomas Eugene “Gene” Dixon Jr., age 58, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at his home in Selma. He was born on May 23, 1967, in Smithfield, NC, to Thomas Eugene Dixon Sr. and the late Frances Henry.

Gene was a good-hearted, caring man who loved his family and always tried to make those around him comfortable and happy. He enjoyed drawing, working on cars, and spending time with his dog, whom he especially loved. Gene will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his son, Jeremy Dixon (Brandy) of Hubert; his father, Thomas E. Dixon Sr. of Selma; his brothers, Christopher Dixon and John Dixon, both of Selma; and his sister, Kim Council (Chris) of Pine Level. Gene is also survived by his nieces—Amanda Dudley, Candace Penny, Samantha Dudley, and Mikaela Dixon—as well as three great-nieces and nephews.
