Timothy Edward Boylan

Timothy Edward Boylan, lovingly known as Tim, Timmy, Dad, and Papa, of Clayton, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on September 8, 2026, at the age of 60, following a courageous 14-year battle with cancer.

Born in Norwalk, Connecticut, Tim was the son of Marilyn Boylan and the late Thomas Boylan.

Timmy was a hardworking man through and through and took great pride in providing for his family. Prior to his cancer diagnosis, he was the proud owner of Priority Grading and Clearing and Contract Trucking. Even throughout his 14-year battle with cancer, Timmy’s work ethic never wavered. He never wanted to stop working or allow his illness to define the way he lived his life, and he continued working as an employee of Hardee Brothers Grading Inc. throughout his illness. His determination, resilience, and willingness to keep going despite everything he faced were a testament to the kind of man he was.

More than anything, Timmy loved his family. His sons, Dylan and Chris, meant the world to him, and being “Papa” to his granddaughters, Olivia and Presley, brought him immeasurable joy. His love and pride for his boys and granddaughters were evident to everyone who knew him.

Timmy will also be remembered for his undeniable charm and goofy sense of humor. He had a way of making people laugh and bringing his own personality into every room. Those fortunate enough to know him will remember his strength and work ethic, but also the laughter, stories, and countless memories that came with simply being around Timmy.

Tim is survived by his mother, Marilyn Boylan; his sons, Dylan Boylan and Chris Boylan (Jackie); his beloved granddaughters, Olivia Boylan and Presley Boylan; and his siblings, Patrick Boylan (Janet), Kimberly Blackmon (Dale), Dana Boylan, and Kyle Hughes (Timmy). He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, along with many other family members and friends who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Boylan.

After 14 years of fighting, Timmy leaves behind a legacy that extends far beyond his battle with cancer. He will be remembered as a devoted father, a proud Papa, a loving son and brother, and a hardworking man whose humor, charm, strength, and love for his family will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

The Boylan family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Renee Watson and the team at Heartland Hospice for the compassionate care, kindness, and support they provided to Tim and his family during his final days. The family would also like to thank the many friends and loved ones who visited Timmy, offered their support, and surrounded him and his family with love during this difficult time. Their presence, kindness, and friendship meant more than words can express.
