Timothy Leon Shipman

Timothy (Tim) Leon Shipman, LPC, President and CEO with The Shipman Group LLC went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 16, 2026. Tim was born on Mother’s Day, May 8, 1955. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara, stepchildren Crystal, Tommy (Vanessia), Marie (Jeff), and Amanda. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings Gary, Tom, and Beverly.

Tim was an original founder and Board of Directors of the Loss Prevention Foundation to educate and further the career of the young people within the industry he so loved. Tim retired from Delhaize America (Retail Services Division) in 2013 after serving 23 years in various executive positions.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 2:00pm, at Shiloh Baptist Church in Garner, NC. The family will receive visitors one-hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00pm. Flowers are welcome.

Tim wished to especially thank Michelle Haller, Susan Watson, Karen Pollock, Jill Homan, Todd Sutton, and Darrell Johnson- all who were there for so much support for Barbara and Tim during his final days of life.
